I've been so busy I haven't posted for days - sorry Abby!
Katie was here and we made the wool bird ornaments. I love the way they turned out!

This embroidery was inspired by an 18th century piece of needlework.
It's done on recycled linen and the flowers are felt. I am really pleased with how the seed stitches worked for the feathers.

This morning I cut out a new owl stencil and made this linen pillow. I cut the eyes separately so I could move them around on the cloth. I'm trying to decide if they need feet or a branch.

As a landscape

I want to make some pillows and throws with small scraps that have a lot of texture so I started with this little sample pillow. It's made with recycled linen and cotton scraps. The patchiness reminds me of flying over fields and farms. I'm going to make a larger pillow next.
