The Bear Shadow is here again in the mountains. He visits for a time in October and a time in February. It's the shadow of Whitesides Mountain which is sacred to the Cherokee. This area was all part of the Cherokee Nation in the 18th century.
I decided to try something new and take a sculpture class. My friend is teaching it and we started yesterday. The assignment was to make a witch and I didn't know if I would like sculpture, but I love it! She is going to be Baba Yaga and I am making her house with chicken feet as well. I'll finish her in class tomorrow.
