I made this owl french press cozy from recycled clothing. It has polyfil and mylar sandwiched in the middle for optimum insulation. And I added magnets for the closure, they are sewn inside the material. It works really well and keeps the coffee hot!

Tea cozies

I've been making teapot cozies out of felted wool sweaters. The padding is two layers of batting with a thin layer of mylar sandwiched in between. Mylar is the stuff they make space suits out of and it really keeps the tea hot! And then I lined them with cotton fabric. I made one for myself too. Nice hot cups of tea!
