Today I'm making some little pillows out of recycled linen. And I'm stenciling a little bird on them. In the middle picture above you can see the card stock I'm using. I drew the bird in pencil and then cut it out. After stenciling the body I added the feet and branch freehand.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I've been making more birds and hanging them.
I'm going to make DIY kits with some of them. They'll have one finished bird and materials to make five more. I also listed these two totes in my Etsy shop today.

I'm making some little birds for my trees in the shop. I designed them to be two pieces that just slide together - no gluing. I have a German book that I'm using for the paper.

The body is one piece with a slit on the back and the wing is folded and slides on.
Then I'll sew on a thread to hang them.

This is a little picture I made of a vegetable garden in the summer. It's hand stitched with cotton floss and ecofelt.

Brown paper and string

I wrapped my first gift for a customer today. I'm using brown paper and string with bows made from recycled cotton and linen scraps. I saw something like this at Anthropology and thought it would go well with my whole recycled motif.
